Country: Georgia

Why have You decided to participate in this project?
I believe this to be an exciting and challenging opportunity that is an excellent match to my education, skills and career interests. My educational background is quite close to the offered program and if I get an opportunity to participate, I would return more experienced with new ideas and would be able to develop new proposals and skill based adjustment to the ongoing projects. There are many reasons to promote entrepreneurship among young people since it has a number of potential benefits. An obvious and significant one is that it creates employment for the person owning the business. We should however accept that not all young people could become entrepreneurs in a business sense. It is therefore important to underline that entrepreneurial skills can help youth adapt well to other non-entrepreneurial careers.
I’m confident, I’ll bring a high level of energy and enthusiasm to the project, both of my academic and interpersonal skills, as well as the experience will enrich the project. I realize the highly competitive demands of the project, but I have enough ability, ambition and motivation to cope with the requirements  for a successful working.

What are Your expectations for the training course?

Participation in the program is a key of  life changing experience, which will bring new perspectives, long tern friendships and a lifetime commitment to a good  governance, that  will be a link from a multidisciplinary academic and practical perspective, providing in depth analysis and practical knowledge of the problems, the solutions and the instruments available in this field.

Project partners: DIVERSITYLAND FOUNDATION (Netherlands)

ABOUT ORGANIZATION:

Stichting Diversiteitsland’ (Diversityland Foundation) is a grass-roots consultancy and project organisation. We aim to enhance social inclusion of vulnerable minority-groups. Over the next few years, we plan to organise international activities under the name Social Capital of Minorities in Europe (SCME). Our organisation is based in one of the "focus areas" of the Dutch capital Amsterdam: ‘De Indische Buurt’. This is where most of our activities take place. Our neighbourhood is characterized by a multitude of ethnicities such as Turks, Moroccans and Surinamese and to a lesser extent, Afghans, Somalis, Egyptians, Pakistanis and Ghanaians.

Employees and volunteers of knowledge centres and social work organisations established ‘Stichting Diversiteitsland’ in 2008. They saw a civil society struggling with themes like under-education, passive citizenship, poverty and social exclusion. These issues led to the decision to bundle their experience and advise policymakers on how to use the opportunities created through a culturally diverse society for the general benefit. Especially now the topics of aging and shortages on the labour market are becoming more and more the trend.
